Zebra ZT411 label printer
The ZT411 is a Zebra 4-inch industrial printer sold as separate 203, 300 and 600 dpi units and peel-off/rewinder units. The ZT411 model in GoodLabel Designer offers all three resolutions; output modes such as peel-off and rewind are not in the commands, so set them in the unit's Media Handling menu.

The ZT411 is a Zebra 4-inch industrial printer sold as separate 203, 300 and 600 dpi units and units fitted with peel-off/rewinder. The ZT411 model in GoodLabel Designer also shows all three buttons, 203, 300 and 600 DPI, so you only need to click the one button for your unit's resolution.

The peel-off and rewind configurations have an upper media width limit of 108 mm, 6 mm narrower than the tear-off type. A cutter cannot be fitted together with the rewind or peel unit, so even for the 600 dpi variant you choose only one of the cutter and the rewinder.
Using a peel-off/rewinder unit with the Designer
The ZPL the Designer sends has no ^MM command to set the output mode. Choose peel-off, which removes labels one at a time, or rewind, which winds up the printed labels as a whole, in advance in the unit menu Print > Image Adjust > Media Handling.
- Media type, density, speed, label width, and the print method when it is not "Printer settings", are sent from the Designer settings with the first label of the print job and override the unit menu.
- The minimum label length in peel-off and rewind modes is 12.7 mm, so make the Designer label height at least that. Cutter mode starts at 25.4 mm.
- The Tear-off position in the Designer's Advanced settings is sent as ~TA and moves the stop position over the tear bar. On a unit used for peel-off or rewind, leave this field alone.

600 dpi tops out at 102 mm per second, so printing the same quantity takes longer than at 203 dpi. In return, it prints bars as thin as 1.6 mil, so choose it when fitting barcodes and text densely on small labels.

FAQ
- Can a cutter and a rewinder be fitted on one unit together?
- No. On the ZT411, the cutter is not used together with the rewind or peel unit, so even among the 600 dpi options you choose either the cutter or the rewinder (Rewind+Peel).
- How do I print a label file made at 203 dpi on a 600 dpi unit?
- A .glb file opens with the printer and resolution it was saved with, so after opening the file, click 600 DPI in the Printer settings window. When you change the resolution, the barcode bar width and QR module size are recalculated for 600 dpi.
- When I select the ZT411 in the Designer, is the resolution set automatically?
- The ZT411 has three resolutions, so the model alone does not decide it. It is set automatically only when the Windows printer name includes a resolution along with ZT411, such as 300dpi; otherwise, click one of the 203, 300 and 600 DPI buttons in the Printer settings window.
