Direct thermal fanfold labels 100×200mm (4x8 inch) are a 200mm-long shipping label size that is not among the GoodLabel Designer shared templates. So instead of Templates, you start in a new document by entering width 100 and height 200 yourself. The product name marks them for logistics and freight shipping labels; the size is 50mm longer than 4x6.

The top two rows are the 4x8-only products, and the bottom two rows are 100X200mm variants sold with the direct thermal fanfold labels 100x150 products. In every case the size in the variant name is the same 100X200mm.
Creating a 200mm-long document
- On the start screen, click New document and enter width 100 and height 200 in Label size. The New document window accepts 1–1000mm for both width and height, and the Printer settings panel accepts width 10–500mm and height 5–1000mm, so 200mm is within range in both.
- Of the 6 shared templates, the only 100mm-wide one is the 100×150 shipping template. To use its field layout, create a new document with the label size set to 100×200, the same as the actual media, and move and rearrange the elements there.
- Because the height is 50mm longer, the bitmap for each label is also larger. At 203dpi each label goes out as 800×1,599 dots, and at 300dpi as 1,182×2,363 dots.
- For ZPL printers the height is also sent as a ^LL dot count, which sets the length of each label. Compared with the Zebra ZD421T label length limit of 991mm and the TSC TE210 print length limit of 25,400mm, 200mm is far shorter.
Print method and media type
This is direct thermal paper, so set Print method in Printer settings to Direct thermal, and remove the ribbon even on dual-mode printers such as the ZD421T and TE210. The steps for feeding the fanfold stack through the rear slot of the printer and for checking gap or black mark on the back of the stack are on the 100x150 page, and 4x8 stacks follow the same steps.
When printing with Gap labels on a TSPL printer such as the TSC TE210, the number in the Gap length field is added as a GAP command on the line after SIZE 100 mm,200 mm. When you print several copies of the same shipping label, these header commands go once per job and PRINT 1,n repeats the count.

FAQ
- I cannot find a 100×200 template in Templates.
- None of the 6 shared templates is 100×200. Enter width 100 and height 200 in Label size for a new document and build the shipping label fields in the blank document.
- Can I use the 100×150 shipping template as is on this label?
- The template's label size is 100×150, so if you print it as is, TSPL SIZE and ZPL ^LL also go out at a 150mm length and do not match the 200mm media. Move only the fields you need to a new document with the label size set to 100×200.
- Is there anything to change when I switch to a 300dpi printer?
- When you change Printer resolution in Printer settings to 300 DPI, each label goes out as a 1,182×2,363-dot bitmap, and barcode widths and module sizes are recalculated for the new resolution.
