Nylon cross care labels (garment wash labels)
Wash care labels on stiff nylon cross fabric, 30, 35 and 40mm wide × 200M. Sharper than satin, they suit small text and barcodes and print by thermal transfer with the 40mm care ribbon. In GoodLabel Designer, choose Continuous media and set each label's length with the document height.

Nylon cross care labels are fabric labels for wash instructions sewn inside garments, and they come as 30, 35 and 40mm-wide fabric wound in 200M lengths. Nylon cross is a stiff fabric that prints sharper than satin, so it suits labels with a lot of small text or barcodes next to the wash symbols.

One combined product carries the 3 nylon cross widths and the 3 satin care label widths as variants. Whatever the fabric width, the ribbon is the single care ribbon 40mm x 300M.
200M rolls and the external holder
A 200M care label roll does not fit on the roll holder inside the Godex G530. This is why the G530 package includes an external holder: the roll stays on the holder outside the printer and only the fabric end goes into the printer. The G530 accepts media 25.4–118mm wide and ribbon 30–110mm wide, so both 30mm fabric and the 40mm care ribbon are within range.
Printing continuous fabric in GoodLabel Designer
Care labels are continuous fabric with no gaps between labels, so the length of each label is set by the Designer document size, not by the fabric. That is why the first step that differs from gap labels is setting Media type in Printer settings to Continuous media.

- In Label size for a new document, enter the fabric width (30, 35 or 40) as the width and the length of one label for the garment in mm as the height.
- In the Designer model list the G530 has only one entry, EZPL and 300dpi, so select 300 DPI for Printer resolution. At 300dpi, a 40mm width prints as 473 dots and 30mm as 355 dots.
- Set Print method to Thermal transfer. EZPL printers receive the ^AT command once before the first label.
- When you select Continuous media, a Feed length field (0–100mm, in 1mm steps) appears for EZPL printers only. It is the margin left between printouts, so enter a value in mm here to space labels apart.
- EZPL sends width and height rounded to whole mm, so a document made 55.5mm high is stored in the printer as 56mm.
If the text is faint, raise Density in the Print window. For EZPL printers the density range is 0–19 (default 13) and the speed range is 1–7 (default 3). FAQ
- Should I choose nylon cross or satin?
- If you put a lot of small text or barcodes next to the wash symbols, choose nylon cross, which prints sharper. For garments where the feel and sheen of the finish matter, satin is the better fit.
- Do I use the 40mm ribbon on 30mm fabric too?
- Yes. The care ribbon comes in a single size, 40mm x 300M, so 30, 35 and 40mm fabrics all use the same ribbon; with 30mm fabric the ribbon is 10mm wider than the fabric.
- Does the 200M roll fit inside the printer?
- It does not fit inside the Godex G530. Hang the roll on an external holder and feed only the fabric end into the printer.
- Where do I set the length of each label?
- The height of a new GoodLabel Designer document is the length of each label. EZPL printers such as the G530 receive this height rounded to whole mm, so entering it without decimals matches the result.
