GoodLabel wristband labels are label-type wristbands used as patient wristbands in long-term care hospitals, admission wristbands for events, and wristbands for sports facility users. They come in two colors, red and blue, in rolls of 250, and are also sold as a package that bundles a Godex printer, 2 rolls of wristband labels and a ribbon.

All three package variants include 2 rolls of wristband labels (500 labels); to get one roll of each color, choose the third variant. After starting with the package, add single 250-label rolls by color.
Print method and printer preparation
All 3 package variants include a ribbon along with the printer and 2 rolls of wristband labels, so the wristband labels print by thermal transfer with the ribbon loaded. The manufacturer of the package printer is stated as Godex (GODEX), and GoodLabel Designer prints to all Godex printers with EZPL commands.
In the Printer settings window, select the driver, then select the Godex entry in the model list that matches the name of the printer you received, and set the Printer resolution radio button to that model's specification (203 DPI or 300 DPI). The driver file is posted under Godex driver in the downloads section.
GoodLabel Designer wristband document setup
- In Label size for a new document, measure the width and height of the area on the wristband label where text prints with a ruler and enter them in mm. Both fields accept 1–1000mm, so the band's print area fits within that range.
- EZPL printers receive the label width (^W) and height (^Q) rounded to whole mm. A measured 25.5mm is stored as 26mm, so place names and numbers that must fit the area exactly based on the rounded size.
- When you click Thermal transfer in the Print method field of Printer settings, the ^AT command is sent to the Godex printer once, before the first label of the session.
- For rolls with gaps between labels, set Media type to Gap labels and enter the gap in the Gap length field. EZPL also rounds this gap to whole mm and puts it in the second position of the ^Q command.

FAQ
- Can I get red and blue together?
- The third package variant contains 1 red roll and 1 blue roll. Single rolls have a separate 250-label variant for each color, so you add the colors you need.
- How many wristbands does one roll print?
- Per the variant name, one roll has 250 labels, so 250 wristbands. The package contains 2 rolls, enough to print 500 at the start.
- I entered the wristband label size as 25.5mm and the print position is slightly off.
- EZPL printers such as Godex receive width, height and gap rounded to whole mm. A field entered as 25.5mm goes out as 26mm, so set the document size again in whole mm and align the elements.
- How do I print wristband labels with a different name for each visitor or patient in one go?
- In GoodLabel Designer Connect data, load an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file containing names and numbers and map the columns to the label text; wristband labels with different content for each row come out in a single print job. If you only need some of them, use Select range to pick rows such as 10–50.
