Honeywell PX45 label printer
The PX45 is Honeywell's 4-inch industrial printer succeeding the PX4ie, in 203dpi, 300dpi and 406dpi peel-off/rewinder variants. The GoodLabel Designer v3.3.22 list has no PX45, so choose the PX4ie entry with the same ZPL and the same resolution; there is no resolution button for 406dpi.

The PX45 is a Honeywell model that is not yet named in the GoodLabel Designer v3.3.22 model list. The product listing presents the PX45 as the successor to the PX4ie, and all three variants, 203dpi, 300dpi and 406dpi, are peel-off/rewinder configurations, so in the Designer you print by choosing another entry with the same command language and resolution.
Designer entry to use in place of the PX45
The model name is not included in the commands sent to the PX45; all that is used from the selected entry is the language, ZPL, and the selected resolution. So any ZPL entry with a resolution button matching the variant you bought sends the same commands.

The PX4ie is in the table because the product listing presents the PX45 as the PX4ie successor; choosing the PD45 or PM45 entry, with the same ZPL and the same resolution, sends the same commands. The 406dpi variant has no matching button, as in the last row of the table, because across all Honeywell entries the only resolution buttons are 203, 300 and 600. This is also noted in the resolution table on the PX4ie page.
Even if the Windows printer name contains PX45, the list has no entry with the same name, so the model field is not filled in automatically. Search for PX4ie in the Printer model field of the Printer settings window, select it, and press the resolution button yourself.
ZSim and the Designer command order
The PX45 is a printer where the user chooses among DP/FP, IPL, ZSim2 (ZPL-II) and DPL. The Designer sends ZPL, so the printer command language must be set to ZSim; for the reason and the command order that continues with ^MTD, ^MNY and ^PW, see the PX4ie page.
Peel-off/rewinder configuration and Designer setup
The PX45 can be fitted with a guide shaft that leads the liner into the printer during peel-off printing, and models with the internal rewinder option ship with this shaft already fitted. Move the shaft's guide flange to match the media width.
The ZPL the Designer sends to the PX45 contains no command that changes the print mode (^MM). Whether labels are peeled off or rewound on a roll follows the setting stored in the printer, so there is nothing to turn on in the Designer for peel-off or rewinding.
Labels and ribbons the PX45 accepts
Media is 25.4–120mm wide and 2.4–10.0mil thick, and rolls up to 213mm outer diameter on 38–76mm cores can be loaded. The printed width is up to 112mm for direct thermal and 110mm for thermal transfer, so keep the text and barcodes drawn in the Designer within that width.
Speed is 100–300mm/s at 203 and 300dpi and 100–250mm/s at 406dpi. Ribbons are wax, wax/resin and resin types, with a roll diameter up to 80mm.

FAQ
- The Windows printer name is PX45, but the Designer model field is empty and I cannot find it in the list.
- PX45 is not in the v3.3.22 list, so automatic name recognition does not apply either. Print commands are created only from the command language and resolution, so search for the ZPL entry PX4ie in the model field, select it, and press the 203 DPI or 300 DPI button that matches the variant you bought.
- Can I load a fanfold label stack on the PX45?
- The PX45 media configurations are roll and fanfold, so fanfold stacks can be loaded. It supports gap, notch, black mark and continuous media sensing, so for the Designer Media type, choose Black mark if there are black marks on the back of the stack and Gap labels if there are only spaces between labels.
- Does the Designer setup change if I load a resin ribbon?
- The PX45 takes wax, wax/resin and resin ribbons with a roll diameter up to 80mm. With any of them, leave the Designer Print method field at Thermal transfer (^MTT); there is no separate field to choose by ribbon type.
