Honeywell PX65 label printer
The PX65 is Honeywell's 6-inch industrial printer with a 167.4mm print width and 76–170mm media width, in 203dpi and 300dpi peel-off/rewinder variants. GoodLabel Designer prints to it as a ZPL entry, so enter a width within 167.4mm and keep in mind that ^PW is rounded up to a multiple of 8 dots.

When printing large labels such as 150mm wide from the Designer, the first thing to look at on the PX65 is how to match the width field and the ^PW dot count. The printhead prints up to 167.4mm, the loaded media is 76–170mm wide, and both the 203dpi and 300dpi variants are peel-off/rewinder configurations.
Entering the Designer width on a 6-inch printer
The Designer converts the width in mm in Printer settings to dots and sends it as ZPL ^PW (print width). It rounds width × resolution ÷ 25.4 up, then rounds up again to a multiple of 8 dots, so ^PW is up to 7 dots larger than the calculated dot count.

The printhead prints up to 167.4mm, so even if you set the Designer width larger, content beyond that does not appear on the label. Even with 170mm media, keep the width field at 167.4mm or less and place text and barcodes a few mm in from the edges.
There is a limit on the other side too. The PX65 accepts media from 76mm wide, so narrow labels such as 50mm suit the 4-inch PX45.
Selecting the PX65 model in the Designer
Searching for PX65 in the Printer model field shows two rows with the same name, but whichever row you choose, printing is handled as the ZPL entry, resulting in RAW printing that bypasses the driver. There are two resolution buttons, 203 DPI and 300 DPI; press the one that matches the variant you bought.
Why the command language is set to ZSim so the printer interprets ZPL, and the command order, are on the PX4ie page; the settings the Designer does not change in peel-off configurations are on the PX45 page. The PX65 command language list also includes ZSim2 (ZPL-II).
Choosing the resolution by label content
Both resolutions have the same print speed of 100–225mm/s (4–9ips). So the choice depends on label content rather than speed.
The dot pitch is about 0.125mm at 203dpi and about 0.085mm at 300dpi. For 150mm labels with mostly large text and bold 1D barcodes, 203dpi is enough; if the same label also has small text or 2D codes with small modules, the 300dpi variant is the right fit.

FAQ
- PX65 appears twice in the Designer model field. Which one do I choose?
- Whichever row you choose, the saved model name is the same PX65, and printing is handled by the ZPL entry, the first row in the list. Just press the 203 DPI or 300 DPI resolution button to match the variant you bought.
- The media is 170mm wide. Do I enter 170mm as the Designer width too?
- The printhead prints up to 167.4mm, so keep the width field at 167.4mm or less. At 300 DPI, 167.4mm is sent as ^PW1984.
- If I switch from a PX6ie to a PX65, does the Designer setup change?
- Both models are ZPL entries in the Designer with two resolution buttons, 203 and 300 DPI. Change the model field to PX65 in the Printer settings window and press the resolution button that matches the new printer.
