Honeywell PX6ie label printer
The PX6ie is Honeywell's 6-inch industrial printer that prints up to 167.4mm wide on 76–170mm media, used in the configuration that matches the output method: tear-off, peel-off, cutter or batch rewind. The GoodLabel Designer list has the ZPL entry PX6ie as is, with 203 and 300 DPI buttons.

The PX6ie is a 6-inch model on which you choose among six output methods in one printer: tear-off, peel-off, cutter, internal batch rewind, external supply and RFID; its successor is the PX65. It prints up to 167.4mm wide on 76–170mm media, and the PX6ie is also in the GoodLabel Designer list as a ZPL entry.
PX6ie configurations by output method
The PX6ie offers six output methods in one printer, but apart from tear-off, most of them require optional parts. Decide how you want to receive the labels, then match the configuration.

With any method in the table, output follows the settings stored in the printer, and the Designer ZPL has no command to change the output method, as on the PX45 page.
Label Taken sensor and print count
The Label Taken sensor is an optional part for tear-off and peel-off configurations. With the sensor, the printer does not print the next label of the same batch until the label just printed is taken.
The Designer sends multiple copies of the same label at once, with the count in ^PQ. Even if you enter 50 in Copies in the Print window, a PX6ie with the sensor feeds out the next label each time a person takes one.
Designer setup and printer command language
The Designer's PX6ie entry has only two resolution buttons, 203 DPI and 300 DPI, so press the one that matches the resolution variant you chose.
The printer accepts Fingerprint, DP, IPL, ZSim and DPL, so the command language must be ZSim or Autosense for the Designer's ZPL to be processed. The menu path and command order are on the PX4ie page, and the table for matching the width field and ^PW dot count at 6-inch width is on the PX65 page.
Speed is 100–225mm/s (4–9ips) for both resolutions, and the maximum length the printer prints on one label is 4095mm at 203dpi and 2775mm at 300dpi.

FAQ
- Can an RFID-configured PX6ie also write data to the tag chip?
- The ZPL that Designer v3.3.22 sends has no RFID tag write commands. Even on an RFID-configured printer, the Designer prints only the text and barcodes on the label surface.
- I entered several copies, but only one label comes out at a time.
- A printer with a Label Taken sensor prints the next label only after the printed one is taken. The Designer sends the count at once with ^PQ, so as you take each label, the remaining ones come out in turn.
- Can the internal batch rewind take up an entire roll?
- The PX6ie rewind hub holds only 30–40% of a full original roll. For a job that prints a whole 213mm roll to the end, remove the wound roll partway and continue rewinding.
